Kalimat Active And Passive Voice

inggrissukomoro,- Pada postingan kali ini kita akan belajar tentang salah satu grammar yaitu Active and Passive Voice.

Sebelum membahas tentang Passive Voice, terlebih dahulu kita belajar tentang Active voice. Apa itu Active Voice?.....

Well, lets discuss about Active Voice.

What is Active Voive.....? Active voice is the subject become the doer. maknanya bahwa kalimat aktif itu subjeknya sebagai pelaku.

Example; Ahmad atracts the Pop Music
                 S         


                She is Reading a Novel
                  S            Verb       Object

Dari kedua kalimat diatas bahwa  kata Ahmad dan She kedudukanya adalah sebagai Subjek atau pelaku. jadi kalau di buat pertanyaan, Siapa yang tertarik pada Musik, dan siapa yang membaca Novel ? maka kalian akan menjawab Ahmad dan She.


Lalu bagaiman dengan Passive Voice, Passive Voice is the subject is not the doer. makannya bahwa kalimat Passive itu subjeknya bukan sebagai pelaku.

 Lihat kalimat diatas, unituk merubah kalimat dari active voice ke Passive Voice carilah objectnya terlebih dahulu kemudian letakkan objectnya di awal kalimat dan amati penggunaan Tenses di kalimat Active voice.

            >  The Pop Music is attracted by Ahmad

Karena kaliamt diatas menggunakan tenses Simple Present Tense maka menggunakan tobe is. Kenapa menggunakan tobe is karena The Pop Music merupakan subject tunggal dan kita ketahui bahwa tobe Simple Present Tense ada tiga yaitu IS, AM, ARE.

         > A novel is being read by her
            Subject
Karena kaliamt diatas menggunakan tenses Present ContinuouseTense maka menggunakan tobe is. Kenapa menggunakan tobe is karena A novel merupakan subject tunggal dan kita ketahui bahwa tobe Present Continuouse Tense ada tiga yaitu IS, AM, ARE dan karena kalimat tersebut menggunakan continuouse maka di tambahkan menggunakan being.


secara umum rumusan passive voice adalah S + Tobe + Verb 3 + by, with, of,,,,,,etc
tobe disini tergantung pada Tenses yang digunakan pada kalimave Active Voice.


berikut rumus kalimat Passive Voice:

1. Simple Present Tense
   
    Subject + is, am. are + Verb 3 + by object

2. Pesent Continuouse Tense

  Subject + Tis,am,are + Being +Verb 3 + by object

3. Simple Past Tense

  Subject + was, were + Verb 3 + by object

4. Past Continuouse Tense

  Subject + was,were + Being + Verb 3 + by object

5. Present Perfect Tense

  Subject + has been + verb 3 + by object

6. Past perfect tense

  Subject + had been + verb 3 + by object

7. Present Future Tense

Soal Uraian Narrative

Read the text below carefully and answer the following questions!

The Legend of King Bali

               Long time ago, there was a king in Bali. He was a generous ruler but also very

ambitious. To propitiate the gods he performed a Yagna (fire sacrifice). His Yagna

so successful that even the gods were terrified to appear before him and grant

him a boon (hadiah) in the fear that he might ask was something which was

beyond their capacity. Some of the Gods pleaded Vishnu to check King Bali's

Vishnu came to earth in the form of a du,arf dressed as priest.

               When the priest reached King Bali's court. he asked the King to ask for anything

he wanted. The priest said "You are the ruler of the three worlds: the Earth. the

world above the skies and the underworld. Would you give me the space that I could

cover with three steps?" King Bali laughed. This request seemed strange to all the

courtiers, but king Bali granted it. Surely a dwarf could not cover much ground,

thought the King, who agreed to dwarfs request

               Once the request was granted to the priest (who was none but Visnu in disguise),

submerged the entire world (Mrityu-loka) with one step, with the second he submerged 

heaven (Swarga-loka) and for the third step; there was no respectable place to put his

foot down and so he asked the bewildered (bingung) Baliness respectable

place to this foot so that the boon gould be fulfilled. Left with no alternative, the

noble but exasperated King Bali offered his head for the purpose. To his surprise,

the priest not only lost no time in placing his foot over King Bali's head, but also

thrust Bali into the nether worlds (Patala-loka) which in Hindu cosmogony means

hell and lies below the surface of the earth.
